Our Accelerated Skills Training (AST) programs are designed to help students gain industry-recognized certifications and job-ready skills in a matter of weeks. This streamlined approach is ideal for individuals looking to quickly transition into a new field or advance their career in a short timeframe.
Valencia’s CDL Class B program prepares students to operate buses, box trucks, and other commercial vehicles. Through 85% hands-on instruction, students gain real-world experience with vehicle inspections, maneuvering, and backing techniques. Training also focuses on driver safety, professionalism, and customer service.

Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to earn:
- State of Florida Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT)
- Valencia Certificate of Completion
- Passenger Endorsement (Optional)
Enrollment Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- Read, write, and comprehend English
- Possess a valid Florida driver's license
- Possess a CDL-A learner's permit
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination
- Provide a Negative Drug test within 2 weeks of the start of class
- Meet eligibility requirements for a commercial driver’s license: 7-year driving record
This training course will cover the following topics:
- Pre-trip and road vehicle inspections
- Cargo documentation & proper loading and securing of cargo
- Backing of large tractor trailers, truck controls, and systems
- Maneuvering techniques
- Hour of service requirements and using logbooks
- Professional customer service skills: Speaking, reading, and writing
- Extreme driving conditions, hazard awareness, emergency maneuvers, and accident procedures
