Valencia’s Medical Office Specialist program prepares students for a fast-paced healthcare environment through hands-on training in scheduling, billing and coding, and electronic health records. Students will gain the administrative and technical knowledge needed to support medical teams and deliver a quality patient experience.
* This course is delivered over a period of eight weeks.
Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to earn the following National Certifications:
- NHA Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
- NHA Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
- NHA Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- May be eligible for credits toward an Associate in Science Degree in Medical Administration

Enrollment Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age by the time of course completion
- Proof of High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Read, Write, and Comprehend English
- For employment purposes – must pass background and drug test
