Program Overview & Certifications Earned
Our Accelerated Skills Training (AST) programs are designed to help students gain industry-recognized certifications and job-ready skills in a matter of weeks. This streamlined approach is ideal for individuals looking to quickly transition into a new field or advance their career in a short timeframe.
Valencia’s Certified Forklift Technician program offers hands-on training in a state-of-the-art warehouse environment. Students begin with classroom instruction and then apply their learning by servicing forklifts and component simulators. The program emphasizes industry safety, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of common forklift systems.
* Includes 4 hours per week of independent online study.
Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to earn:
- MSSC Certified Forklift Associate
- MSSC Certified Forklift Technician
- NCSA Direct Contact Service Professional Certification (DCSP)
- OSHA 10 General Industry
- May be eligible for college credits toward an AS Degree in Supervision & Management for Industry
Enrollment Requirements
- Must be currently drug-free
- Must have a valid driver license
- Able to lift 80 pounds unassisted
- Able to carry objects of 50 pounds or less routinely
