7023 - Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management for Practitioners #1416
Course Description
This 40-hour course is designed to give practitioners confidence in their skills to work Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) cases. The State of Florida developed a statewide strategy to prevent targeted violence in response to the public’s well-founded concern about a perceived increase in both the frequency and lethality of mass casualty attacks in the U.S. This strategy provides a baseline understanding of targeted violence and Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM). It also proposes to establish a regionalized BTAM program throughout the state. FDLE created this course in support of the statewide strategy. Salary Incentive or Mandatory Retraining.
